Chronic pain is a common and often complex symptom for many people living with multiple sclerosis. Pain expert Dr. Jamie Young shares his experience with managing and treating pain in multiple sclerosis.


Dr. Jamie Young is a pain and rehabilitation specialist working in acute, chronic and cancer pain. He is currently a specialist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Melbourne as the clinical lead of the department and a visiting pain specialist at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Fitzroy in Melbourne.

His other areas of interest include teaching medical students and trainees, medical leadership and research. He has ongoing publications in cancer pain, supervision of University of Melbourne research projects and a supervisor of training at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Melbourne. He also has a PhD in pain management associated with multiple sclerosis.
