Physiotherapy keeps you moving to ensure better health and wellbeing.

But more than that, it also focuses on symptom management, and helps you work on your mobility, strength and balance. This can prevent some symptoms – such as fatigue and mobility issues – from worsening over time.

Our physiotherapists specialise in helping people with neurological conditions. So we understand your challenges and how to help.

I have more than one client who has gone from not feeling comfortable walking without an aid in their home to walking more than one kilometre for exercise in the community. Changes in MS are gradual and improvements are always to be celebrated. I am very proud of my clients’ achievements.

How you can benefit from physiotherapy

Physiotherapy can benefit people living with MS and other neurological conditions in many ways. It can help you:

  • manage symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, stiffness and pain
  • improve your balance and mobility
  • exercise at a level that suits you
  • enjoy better health and wellbeing
  • live more independently.

Why come to us for physiotherapy

Our physiotherapists have a deep understanding of MS and other neurological conditions. We understand your limits – and can help you push your boundaries safely.

We can help you with:

  • marching exercises to strengthen your legs, improve balance and increase your fitness
  • breathing exercises to manage mood, pain and fatigue
  • modifying exercises so you can manage fatigue and continue doing the things you love
  • funding a device for your shoe to prevent you from tripping over.

How our physiotherapy works

To start, you’ll be matched to one of our physiotherapists, and your first appointment can take place over the phone, via video call, or face-to-face.

In this first appointment, we will:

  • work with you to understand your goals and challenges
  • discuss how physiotherapy can best assist you
  • design your tailored treatment plan
  • recommend ways for you to improve your mobility, strength and physical wellbeing.

We’ll support you through your plan step by step – and help you reach your goals.

I wanted to become a physiotherapist upon landing in Australia from Vietnam in 1995 because I realise that a physiotherapist can help treat a range of conditions that orthodox medicine cannot.
