Did you know your NDIS plan is a roadmap to your wellbeing and independence? Let's break it down together!
The NDIS funding is categorised into three main support budgets: core supports, capacity building supports, and capital supports. Each category serves a specific purpose in addressing your needs and goals:
1. Core supports are essential for your everyday needs. From personal care to community access, core supports cover essential supports that help you maintain your health, safety and wellbeing.
Examples: Assistance with personal care, support with daily living tasks, community access and consumables.
2. Capacity building supports skills development and independence to enable you to reach your long-term goals. These supports aim to enhance your abilities and empower you to participate more actively in your community.
Examples: Therapeutic supports, skill development and training to improve independence.
3. Capital supports involve funding for equipment, home modifications or one-time investments that aim to improve your overall wellbeing and independence. These are more long-term investments that contribute to your ongoing support needs.
Examples: Assistive technology, home modifications, vehicle modifications, and the purchase of essential items like a wheelchair or communication device.
Our MS Plus support coordinators opens in new tabcan help you understand each funding category in your NDIS plan to help you get the most out of your roadmap to wellbeing and independence.
