We run regular courses to help you navigate an MS diagnosis, to support family and friends of someone newly-diagnosed and understand your NDIS eligibility.

Stay Active - Exercise Physiologist-led online group program

Stay active, independent and healthy with our Exercise physiologist-led online group classes. 

These sessions will help you stay active and build confidence for daily life, whether that's being able to enjoy activities, keeping up with the kids or being more confident moving around at home. Keeping active can also help with managing fatigue and promote pain management.

 

The program: 

In just 6 weeks you will kickstart your journey and feel empowered to keep practicing new skills beyond the program.

*If you use a wheelchair, keep an eye out for a program suitable for you, coming soon!

When: 6 week program, Tuesday 17 February 2026: 12pm–12.45pm & 6pm–6.45pm and, Tuesday 5 May 2026: 12pm–12.45pm & 6pm–6.45pm

Peer Links: learning through shared experience

Peer Links create a collective learning environment that not only offers emotional support but also empowers individuals with new perspectives and solutions. Peer Links are facilitated by me over 3 week and internal and external guest speakers join throughout the program to share tips and strategies.

Upcoming programs: 

Under 30s (February 2026): Creating a safe space to discuss strategies with other young people including sessions on managing MS symptoms, diet and nutrition and stress management.
Working and Living with MS (April 2026): For people actively working and looking for strategies to manage MS in the workplace including legal considerations.
Mums with MS (May 2026): Join us for sessions on managing MS symptoms, exercise, and stress management.

Navigate with MS

Supporting someone with MS can feel overwhelming. Learning more about the condition is an important first step in providing meaningful support.

Navigate MS is a two-part online program facilitated by an MS nurse and is specifically designed for people within the first two years of an MS diagnosis.

The Plus Navigate Series: Friends & Family is tailored for anyone who supports a person living with MS, offering guidance and insights to help them better understand and support their loved one.

Navigate MS: Living Well with a New Diagnosis of MS

When: Starts 11th February with more sessions being added throughout the year (Two live sessions -1 hour each, held one week apart)

Eat Smart: simple choices to support your wellbeing

A four week program, lead by a qualified dietitian - discover how simple, everyday food choices can help you feel more energized, improve digestion and become part of your routine.

This practical program covers label reading, meal planning, and building habits that last—so you can enjoy food that truly supports your lifestyle.

The Program:

We'll cover:
- Getting started - understanding our current state
- Label reading and our good friend fibre!
- Planning for shopping success
- Action planning and behaviour change for long term benefits

INFORM: Introduction to Neurological Conditions

Join us for a short, foundation level lunchtime webinar designed to support health and community professionals who work with people living with neurological conditions.

Presented by an MS Nurse Advisor, this session will enhance your understanding and provide practical tips for supporting your clients.

In this 1-hour live session, we’ll cover:
• An overview of common neurological conditions
• How symptoms may affect daily activities and quality of life
• Recognising when extra support may be helpful
• Support options and referral pathways
• Live Q&A

About Dementia - for ACVVS Volunteer Visitors

Dementia can effect people in different ways and may progress slowly or quickly. By learning more about the condition and how to make the most of your volunteer visits, you can create more meaningful moments for both you and the person you're visiting.

Take Control: Your bladder health & MS

Bladder challenges are very common in people with a neurological condition such as MS, however understanding the symptoms and early treatment are key to not only better outcomes, but can limit the physical, social or emotional impacts of bladder dysfunction.

Join us to learn about the strategies and resources available to proactively manage bladder health and improve quality of life.

This session is presented in partnership with Coloplast.
