Western Port dreams

My family and I are fortunate to hug Western Port’s coastline daily as we do the drive to school. We look out the windows and take note of the weather.
In Summer, we see it and experience it on blissful, sparkling days, when the warm waves invite us in to swim and play; in Winter, we wrap ourselves up in wooly layers as icy winds and rain lash us through rain and wild storms.
Often, we don’t know what is coming, and we are surprised at what the coastline has in store. After a cold and rainy day, this gorgeous rainbow appeared dramatically above the darkened bay, plunging into the water behind the mangrove forest. I quickly took the next turn off and was able to get out of the car in time to capture the beauty of one of nature’s most spectacular displays. A rainbow never gets old, and reminds us of the beauty in the everyday; especially once a storm has passed.
