More than 5,500 riders registered for the 2026 MS Gong Ride, with approximately 4,169 riders completing today's ride, raising $1.3 million so far for people living with multiple sclerosis. But the fundraising challenge isn't over yet.
Thousands of riders made the journey from Sydney to Wollongong today, backed by volunteers, donors, families, friends and communities along the route.
Now MS Plus is calling on Australians to help carry their extraordinary effort over the fundraising finish line.
Funds raised help MS Plus provide services and support for people living with MS and other neurological conditions today, while also contributing to the work of MS Australia and vital research seeking better treatments, prevention and ultimately a cure for MS tomorrow.
MS Plus CEO John Blewonski said:
“Our riders have done their part. Now we're asking everyone who has followed them, cheered for them or been inspired by them to help us finish the job.
“We have raised $1.4 million, which is an extraordinary achievement, but we know can go even further. People with MS need you to dig deep to ensure they can access service navigation and integrated care, connection, nursing advice, peer support, allied health and employment information and services.
For people living with MS, the need doesn't end at the finish line. Neither does our determination to be there for them to help them live well.
“There is still time to donate. Every contribution, large or small, adds to what this remarkable community has achieved today.”
