Alone with my Thoughts

My Art Therapy group (which I founded!) chooses a different theme to paint each time we meet. This one was Surrealism which I embraced to the max. I was inspired by the isolating work of Jeffrey Smart. I knew I wanted to start with the large shed against a bland sky and from then it just evolved from looking at random objects within my husband's very messy garage and slotting them in. It all worked in the end and subconsciously, I feel that when I enjoy my own company, the creativity flows from within.
