Autumn light, Apollo Bay wharf, Victoria

Oils on canvas board.

Back in 1974, my dad, aged 47, had a faral heart attack while we were holidaying at Apollo Bay. I was 14, my brother was 20. We both did CPR while waiting for the ambulance. They took over but he died. I couldn't go back to A Bay for over 20 years. Then, as a family, i took my children there and the wharf you see is where my father took his last walk. Admiring the boats. This photo in particular provides a peaceful moment for me. Obe of acceptance and resilience.
