Limoges porcelain and black and coloured underglazes
This work started with a question I couldn’t shake: where do I belong? Playing with the word — be‑longing, be‑ginning, be‑leaving — helped me see that this isn’t just my question. It’s something many of us ask, shaped by where we live, move, and make our lives.
Each vessel is wheel‑thrown in Limoges porcelain. I incise the drawings into the clay, fill the lines with black oxide, and paint the surfaces with underglaze. All pieces are fired to 1300°C to bring out the clarity and strength of the porcelain.
