Bob

Melita Giummarra

2026
canvas, acrylics) Hundreds of cotton fabrics, quilting thread, woolen wadding. Framed by Forman Art and Framing, Burwood

This is an improvised quilted portrait of our previous dog, a lovable but troubled german short-haired pointer called Bob.

The artwork took hundreds of hours over multiple years. Each 2-inch square was faithfully created, trusting that the work would come together to resemble the subject. The process and outcome are ultimately a story of persistence and resilience, attributes that are critical to not just surviving but thriving when living with a chronic condition like multiple sclerosis.
