My painting, a self portrait, is entitled Me. It is a depiction of myself living with some of my symptoms of MS (vision impairment, facial nerve pain, tiredness, feeling a bit “off” and shows the mood I sometimes feel. The feeling of imbalance I experience is represented in the asymmetrical line across the face. This line also shows the divide between the positive and negative aspects of MS. The work is quirky to reflect how “weird” MS is.
