My Millie

This is a painting of Millie. She belonged to my parents before they both entered a nursing home a few years ago. My mother passed away 4 months ago from dementia but my father still resides at the home. Millie now lives with me and my family and regularly accompanies me to the nursing home to visit my father and bring joy to other residents. I recently painted this portrait of Millie from a photo. My Dad proudly displays the painting in his bedroom and tells his carers and visitors that it is a painting of “his little mate”.
