Cotton fabric and wadding. Sewing thread and embroidery threads
This is a queen size patchwork quilt. It is a pattern by ‘Pattern Poole’ and I followed their online classes for over 12 months to complete it. The appliqué blocks are hand sewn and the pieced blocks are done by machine.
I chose to do these classes because I was able to learn the ‘quilt as you go’ method which is less physically demanding on a domestic sewing machine than quilting a whole quilt top. I am no longer able to use that method due to my MS.
