Bound by Pain is the second of this series In this work the chaos of my diagnosis evolves into something heavier and more enduring. The thorns multiply and tighten, wrapping and weaving themselves into the figure as markers of time and repetition, each one representing a flare of pain, a reminder of the disease’s persistence. This piece speaks to progression: not just of the illness, but of the lived experience of carrying it daily.
