Fragile Wings

This painting is a visual metaphor for living with MS. The butterfly is a symbol of transformation and fragility and is a reflection of how my body and mind navigated the change 5 years ago. The contrast between the darker, heavier wing and the lighter, more vibrant wing suggests the uneven, often unstable nature of MS symptoms. One side shows strength and what appears "normal" on appearance whereas the other shows the scars, the struggle, fatigue and sensory overwhelm. These symptoms feel constant, yet the butterfly's open wings still convey resilience, adaptation, and a quiet determination to keep moving forward with hope despite uncertainty.
