Get In The Water

If I could show you what nerve pain looked like, this would be close. It's sharp, like a toothache. But when you have to live with it every day, it becomes your "normal". And I hate that with such intensity. I want to find beauty in the pain. To find a way to search through the weeds in the water and grasp the beautiful flowers growing through the mud. To hold onto those blooms with everything I have and breathe them in. For with this pain also comes courage. Comes a strength I never knew was possible. To be able to wake up and greet each day like a warrior refusing to fall despite the arrows struck through.
