Supplication, the action of asking or begging for something earnestly or humbly. This painting isn’t suicide. It is someone brutally hurt and helpless but still offering their hands up in the hope of help. Earnestly reaching for something they cannot see so that they may survive this overwhelming situation which they are drowning in.
