The tree of inspiration

Some time ago i got a bottle of 400 vitamin D tablets. I realised that when I'd finally finished this bottle 400 days of my life would have past. What will I do with this time? Initially I saw a tree on a coaster and was inspired by it, but in painting this I realised something about myself and how I use time. The tree is a representation of the past and the future growing together, and how this can be like our time to come and out time already gone. Will we see new growth and green leaves, or do we dwell in the tangled soil of our past?
