With love in my heart and a smile on my face

Jodie Andrews

2026
Framed canvas, acrylic paint, finished with a varnish

I painted this piece for my brother as he was dying with cancer.
I didn't plan the piece, i just painted as a way of processing my emotions and reduce my stress each day when i came home from caring for him, which was flaring up my MS at the time. He loved my art, when i finished the piece i took it to him and i said this is for you bro. He cried and said it is beautiful but i cant hang it up because i am dying.
I said, that i will keep it at my home, but i want you to give it a title.
He said, call it Darren.....that was his name.
So i did, however everyday when i kissed and hugged him goodbye he always said to me, every morning when you wake up smile and have love in your heart !
So for me it has two names and everyday i look at it on my wall with pride.

Art-ta'da is my Facebook art page, that is why you see that name on the bottom right, I didn't paint that, it was just added when i edited the photo size.
